This shortened programme is aimed at those that have completed, or are working towards the Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety and have attended all 10 days delivery.

Each candidate is required to produce an online portfolio of evidence which demonstrates their achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each of the units detailed below.
The Level 5 Diploma in Fire Safety and Risk Management consists of the following mandatory units. Some of these would have been completed during the Level 4 Diploma.
- Review fire safety matters ensuring compliance with fire safety regulation and guidance
- Assess arrangements to ensure an adequate means of warning and escape
- Identify, assess and control fire hazards
- Ensure active fire protection provisions are in place and suitable for the premises
- Assess arrangements to prevent internal and external fire spread
- Manage fire safety matters in houses in multiple occupation and residential care
